Important of Employee Engagement-



How do I keep my employees engaged?

A beginning  and working condition as positive cognitive, emotional, and behavioral state directed toward company  outcomes. (Shuck and Wollard, 2009)

Engaged employees are drivers of the business activities of any organization to reach its desired destination. Other resources make things possible, but only engaged employees make things happen. Organizations do want their employees to be engaged with their work (Patrick & Bhat, 2014)

Employee Satisfaction

 Employee satisfaction reflects the overall happiness of an employee. The satisfaction rate can depend on many aspects that come with the individual role and or the company itself, such as the team, the manager, but also increasing  opportunities, challenges, equality, benefits, and an organizational  culture that offers a healthy day to day work-life balance.

Trust

Trust is a two-way street. Your organization   should trust its employees to fulfill their tasks as much as they should trust the organization to take care of them. Autonomy and communication play a big part in this.(Wainwright, 2020)

Motivation

Motivation determines the amount of time and effort employees spend on producing positive results. If an employee feels motivated, they are more inclined to be reliable, to produce the best outcomes, and play an active role within the organization. This can happen when an employee feels like their contribution and expertise is valued. The ability to influence the potential outcome will make the employee feel more involved, which can enhance their motivation.(Wainwright, 2020)

Commitment

Commitment is important for any relationship. It shows how much you are willing to invest in the people involved. In a professional environment, it can contain of several situations. For instance, an employee can be committed to the role but not the company or vice versa. The most engaged employees are committed to both and the least are committed to neither.

UK based on researched have founded more engaged employees had higher employee participation in company programs, retention, receptiveness to change, and loyalty. In addition, employee engagement has also been found to be related to less
 ■Role conflict and stress
 ■Negative about the organization and its goals. (Storey et al.,2008)

Conclusions 

The engaged employees who are happy and completely committed to their work, it’s more than just a remunerations, it is the dedication towards their employers and role that makes them passionate about their work, which is often reflected in their individual outcomes.

  1. HR leaders are focused on improving employee engagement at their organization and retention is one of the key reasons. Organizations with high engagement reduce both turnover and hiring costs and disengaged employees are a major factor contributing to high employee turnover.
